It is now 2015.
I ran for the first time today in months.
So it only makes sense that I’m writing a blogpost, the first one in a LONG time!
One year ago, January 1st 2014, I was in Shanghai China playing with the Hollywood Concert Orchestra. It was a long day. Another cold theater, an overrated ‘pop-star’ that couldn’t sing even the songs she chose to sing with us. A nonet of male vocalists, dressed the same, singing what sounded like nine bald Chinese men hurling racial epithets toward their audience. Whatever it was they were singing, the audience wasn’t having it, and JEERS rained down onto the stage.
I live a charmed life.
Actually, I do have a charmed life!! I’m now sitting in the living room of my home I share with my fiancee and our 2 month old baby, Griffin!
I am now a father. I could never imagine what being a father would be like before I became a father. Even now, I can’t imagine what it’s like being a father. I just do things that I need to do, the baby stays alive, he laughs, makes noises I love, and life goes on with a better pace and lilt I could have ever imagined.
Wow! What a difference a year makes!
